Who is Yellow Petal Photo?

Arleta Turnbull (Polish-Canadian first generation settler)

Ecosemotician, Reiki Healer, Symbolic Lifecycle Photographer, BSc. Environmental Scientist, Psychological Safety Advisor

Yellow Petal Photo (est. 2016) was founded by Arleta Turnbull, a pioneer in modern day conscious experiences on Vancouver Island that bridge science and photography services with spiritual healing, art, Mother Nature, and community. She is an explorer of magical proportions. She connects to the subtle energies of the Unseen world and allows them to co-create with her, each day.

She is a devoted artist, mom, wife, community builder, and Ecosemiotician, based in the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, who offers photography services, conscious artworks, and workshops.

She specializes in nature themed creative portraits, child inclusive experiences, and magical moment revealing. She believes in visual storytelling as a transformation tool in one's journey and has the power to move mountains, when held in the appropriate container.

Her purpose is to guide others to consider a deeper meaning toward their experiences, how to connect to the present moment through art, and ultimately, radical transformation with a sense of confidence and acceptance.

Her passion is to help people find the *others* and the tools they need to achieve their dreams. The others being the seekers who are wanting to actualize their soul's desires, whether that be through being storytelling (photography), art making and philosophical conversations.

She has been a part of a variety of impactful art projects, including her own Oracle series, that have left transformative imprints on those who participated in the works.

When she's not working with clients, she's obsessing over the morning dew drops, the birdsong, sitting with the bloom of the day, deeply listening to the rhythms of nature and making art about it, activating adventure with her family, teaching her toddler the way of conscious humanity and interconnection, and aligning her life deeper with her human design system and present moment mindfulness.

If any of this resonated with your own personal journey, please feel free to reach out! I would love to hear from you!

It is with immense gratitude and deep appreciation that Yellow Petal Photo gets to play, create, gather, and explore on the traditional unceded territory of the K'omoks First Nation.
